JOB DESCRIPTION Role: IP Project Manager Location: Newbury / London / Manchester Salary: £40k-£50k Contract: Permanent Hours: Standard Mon-Fri Reporting to: Senior Product Manager The role of IP Project Manager is a new role created as a result of increased business and complexity in the IP Telephony services that Gamma sells via Channel Partners. The solutions that Gamma support involve high value, complex sales with multiple parties involved and require centralised co-ordination and management to ensure successful and profitable delivery. The IP Project Manager role will be responsible for managing complex / high value IP Telephony solutions to a successful conclusion. The role will interface directly with Channel Partners and internally with the Gamma Pre Sales , IP Provisioning and Support Teams. The role will also support Uniworld Solutions complex IP Telephony Project requirements. The candidate will possess a strong Project Management Skill set. A strong sense of ownership will be vital as they will act as the focal point for Gamma for a number of high profile customer projects. The incumbent will need to be able to manage and build virtual teams both internal and external to the organisation, therefore - interpersonal and team building skills will be essential. Key Responsibilities: - Project Management and Co-ordination of multiple IP Telephony and Data Services Projects to time, quality standards and costs - Monitor and progress Projects to ensure documented SLA levels are met - Manage and negotiate with the Gamma Channel Partners to ensure that projects are delivered to specification and manage changes to scope - Co-ordination with key internal groups to ensure that resources and processes are in place to support the Projects that are required to be delivered Qualifications/Skills Required: - It is essential that the incumbent is familiar with industry best practice Project Management process, such as PRINCE - Experience of Project Managing multiple customer projects in a Telecomms or Data Services Organisation - A broad knowledge of IP Telephony, IP services and Telecommunications |

JOB DESCRIPTION Role: Network Support Consultant Location: Manchester Salary: competitive rates Contract: Permanent Hours: 09.00 am - 17.30pm, Monday to Friday plus 'out of hours' and on-call rota Reporting to: IP Services & e-Ops Manager This is a hands-on, Senior Support Engineer position that requires a broad range of network skills from broadband through to VPN technologies. Of particular interest will engineers with an ISP background with 3-5 years experience of offering 3rd line support for the BT Wholesale Broadband and Ethernet product sets. It is expected that a major part of the role will be working with the Gamma core engineering and transmission teams to assist in the roll-out of Gamma's emerging portfolio of networking products. An in depth appreciation of how fully converged networks supporting data and voice products are managed and deployed is essential. You will be offering 3rd line support to the Gamma customer facing support teams and act as centre of expertise for related problems and escalation into our suppliers. You will also work closely with our projects and provisioning teams to ensure that network related projects are efficiently and seamlessly transitioned into the in-service environment. Qualifications/Skill Required Applicants will typically be qualified to degree level in an engineering or related technical discipline and at least 3 years experience in a technical customer facing role in an ISP/Telecommunications environment. An essential requirement will be an in depth knowledge of broadband technologies and demonstrable experience of working with BT Wholesale and the processes/tools employed for diagnosing in-service problems. JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Senior Credit Controller Reporting to: Credit Control Manager Location: Newbury Overview of Role Gamma Telecom (www.gammatelecom.com) is a network provider in the UK, now turning over £140m pa and employing nearly 200 people. The company is highly focussed on being at the leading edge of IP Telephony. Gamma will be the first company in Europe to have a "21CN" network fully in place within a few months. Gamma sells mainly to the SME market through a channel of around 500 resellers as well as dealing with large blue chip Telecoms Carriers (e.g. BT, T-Systems) and the major calling companies (Lycatel, Nowtel). Gamma's onward growth and entrepreneurial culture will present the selected candidates with many challenges and is small enough for individual contributions to be very quickly recognised. The Gamma credit control team consists of three individuals. Key responsibilities - The timely collection of the company's accounts receivables - Weekly/Monthly reporting (includes the preparation of monthly reports in MS Excel and, in future, SQL) - Dispute escalation and monitoring - Legal collection process - Supervising Staff - Direct Debit set-up and collection - Cash allocation - Account reconciliation - Extensive liaison with the Business Development Managers (sales team) - Day to day liaison with Finance, Billing and Revenue Assurance as appropriate - Must be well organised flexible and capable of working under pressure - To cover Credit Manger when absent including supervising and training of junior member of staff - Liaison with external debt collection lawyers The candidate will have extensive experience of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of writing simple SQL queries would be an advantage but not mandatory. This role is key to the credit control team and the ideal candidate must exhibit all the key strengths and abilities as a team role model. The successful candidate must be able to ensure that all elements of the business follow the correct procedures (with appropriate support from senior management). The candidate must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the UK legal debt collection system using county courts and solicitors. A can do flexible attitude and the willingness to "pitch in" at all levels. A good understanding of the team dynamics in a small hard working successful collection team is essential. The candidate will be expected to work within and have the ability to communicate at all levels of the business both internally and externally. Previous experience in a similar role is required.
