JOB PURPOSE The main function of Business Development Support (BDS) is to provide Gamma resellers and Business Development Managers (BDMs) with first line proactive support. This will enable the BDM to focus on revenue/margin growth through supporting the resellers business. The resellers can then manage their business and interactions with Gamma in the most effective way possible, by using BDS as the first point of contact for day to day account management issues.
ROLE DESCRIPTION BDS effectively act as a two-way gateway for all resellers to all other Gamma departments and Gamma partners. Each BDS is responsible for a specific set of accounts, although they will naturally acquire a working knowledge of all the resale business. BDS will develop a communications strategy on how to interact with these accounts in consultation with their BDM.
You will be responsible for the following:
Reseller Account Management - Set-up new accounts - Provide product and pricing information - CPS forecasting management and some product support. - First Point of Contact for all Billing enquiries - Number allocations - Assist with Feature Plus orders - Provide escalation assistance where necessary
Service Reporting - Proactive revenue & CPS transaction monitoring - Ad-hoc reporting - Internal and external communication point for reseller issues - for example reseller bulletins
Reseller Training - Provide resellers with training on the Gamma Portal - Provide process training
System Support - First line support for reseller tools - extranet, provisioning, CPS ordering, CDR download; liaison with OSS (IT Department) - Consolidate Reseller requirements for RFC to process & systems - Liaise with developers to test all changes to process & systems - Provide Systems Administrative support to Resellers - Provide Business Support to Product Development
Migrations & Acquisitions - Provide lead & Gamma links to all parties involved - Manage service delivery & account set-up
3rd Party Service Provider management - Arrange & manage SP Service Review Meetings - Manage the Service Levels from Providers - 2nd Level escalation for Service Provider issues
BDM support: - Day to day account management tasks - Lead taking, qualification and assigning, - Provide all business support to BDM - Stand-in POC for BDM - Support BDM at Reseller meetings - Provide escalation for business issues.
Additional Duties - Direct account management of lower value accounts including responsibility for revenue forecasting - Project support and administration (e.g. consolidation exercises)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential Skills - Ability to deal with customers at all levels, specifically, setting, managing and delivering to customer expectations - Excellent communication skills (telephone and face to face) - High level ability to multi- task and prioritise under pressure. - Strong team player; work effectively with other members - Ability to work in a fast-moving, pressurised environment - Understanding of the principles of ownership and accountability. - Excellence in developing and maintaining healthy business relationships - All round account management skills, including basic financial skills, to enable direct support of lower value accounts - Knowledge of voice market desirable, but can be developed in post.
